Singapore Gardens & Parks

Singapore’s sunny and tropical climate attracts tourists from all over the world to this beautiful Asian nation.

Singapore parks and gardens are the highlight of the country’s spectacular wildlife. Thousands of both plant and animal species can be found in the dense cover of the tropical forests or in the manicured and lush botanical gardens.

Singapore Parks, Gardens & Nature Reserves To Visit, Tickets, List & Map

The MacRitchie Nature Trail is a 250m suspended bridge that will lead you into the heart of Singapore’s great water catchment reservoir. The views of the surrounding rain forest are magnificent as you walk across this renowned treetop trail. Sounds of nature come alive here and the air is clean and fresh. It is a scenic area and activities like kayaking are common in the reservoir.

Gardens by the Bay is where garden artistry takes a whole new level. Gardens by the Bay is part of Singapore’s vision of creating a garden city. Innumerable colourful plants of all types can be found here. These are all elegantly laid and beautifully tended so that it all looks magical and attractive. The fact that they border a waterfront gives these gardens a picturesque look that is hard to forget. Thousands of rare plant species are planted here in a conscious effort to re-grow rare plants. Other popular gardens include the Chinese Garden and the National Orchid Garden.

Chek Jawa is a long stretch of land that borders the sea. It is a marine sanctuary with several distinct habitats; coastal forest, mangrove and a beach. All these are clustered in a small area and visitors can see an array of spectacular marine wildlife of interesting colours and shapes. However, the island can only be accessed during the low tide.

Singapore River is another beautiful nature attraction. Visitors may choose to walk along the river’s bank. However, the best way to really experience an unforgettable trip is by taking a boat. In this way, you can have breathtaking views of the marina and get to see much of the country’s historical landmarks.
