Kallang Attractions – Things To Do & See, Tourist Places To Visit, Singapore

The Leong San See Temple is a historic Chinese Buddhist temple. Established in 1917, the temple has undergone numerous renovations through the century. The main deity is Guan Yin, but other minor deities worshipped here include Justice Bao, Mazu, Monkey King, Cheng Wang Ye, and others. The main altar features an image of Confucius, which is why many Chinese come to pray here, often asking for intelligence and piety for their children.

The Kallang Wave Mall is a popular shopping destination among the Kallang attractions. It may be modern and vibrant, but what sets it apart from other malls is its focus on fitness. The curated shops and experiences have a central theme: active lifestyles. It’s no surprise, considering that the mall is also linked up to the Singapore Sports Hub and is part of the Singapore National Stadium.

For other shopping needs, check out the City Square Mall, which also happens to be Singapore’s first eco-mall. It encompasses more than 700,000 square feet of retail space, and 4,900 square feet of outdoor parklands to explore. Shop to your heart’s content with over 200 retail and lifestyle outlets. City Square Mall also has restaurants and a cinema.

Mustafa Centre is a massive shopping mall in Kallang. Founded in 1971 by Mustaq Ahmad, an Indian businessman, the mall has now grown into one of Singapore’s biggest shopping malls. It specialises in Indian and Malay goods, and there is an overwhelming array of everything here. From groceries to saris and food, you’ll find everything you need in Mustafa Centre.

Other Kallang attractions to check out include Leisure Park Kallang, Singapore Indoor Stadium, and the Golden Mile Complex.
