Wu, on the other hand, has been a Singapore National Technical Director from 2014-2016; a Singapore National Head Coach from 2009-2013, and a Singapore National Women’s Coach from 2007-2008. She is also an ASF Level 3 Qualified Coach, WSF Level 2 Coach, and WSF Level 1 Qualified Instructor. Wu has played at the Asian Junior Champions, Asian Team Champions, and is also the Former Malaysia National Champ.
Considering all the prestigious accomplishments and recognitions given to the founders, it’s no surprise that the Kallang Squash Centre is a popular sporting facility in the country. They, together with other excellent coaches working at the centre, make it a great place to break a sweat or learn a thing or two about this fun sport while you’re in Singapore.
The facilities at the centre include seven glass-backed squash courts, toilets & change rooms, spectator seating (some with stadium seating), and the Sports Planet tennis and squash shop; which offers a restringing service and sells everything from racquets, balls, shoes, apparel and refreshments.
The courts can be booked ahead of time at a small fee; with off-peak hours during the week between 7am and 6pm, while peak hours are from 6pm to 10pm and all hours on the weekend. Please note that proper non-marking shoes are to be worn at all times – shoes with black or dark-coloured soles are not allowed.
The Kallang Squash Centre is located at 8 Stadium Boulevard in Singapore. Opening hours are from 7am to 10pm daily.
