Marina Centre

Marina Centre is located on the southern part of Singapore in the Downtown Core which overlooks Marina Bay. It is composed of reclaimed land; with the development process starting roughly in 1986.

Since then there have been a number of changes made to this area to give it the modern and more impressive design.

For a fun and exciting activity, head to the Singapore Flyer, a gigantic Ferris wheel erected near the shore of Marina Bay. At a total height of 165 metres, it was the World’s Largest Observation Wheel during its opening in 2008. The observation wheel has 28 air-conditioned capsules, each of which can carry 28 passengers. The capsules are specifically mounted along the wheel’s outboard rim so as to give patrons a continuous unobstructed view. A complete cycle around the giant observation wheel lasts about 32 minutes.

While you are strolling around the streets you will be amazed by the large number of shopping malls located here. Marina Square, Raffles City, City Link Mall and the Suntec City Mall are just some of the malls located here which stock all kinds of retail items including clothing, shoes, bags and accessories.
