The Rail Mall

The Rail Mall is a unique shopping mall in Singapore. It stands out because it’s unlike the multi-storey, air-conditioned malls found everywhere else in the country.

Much of its eclectic mix of restaurants and retail shops are lined up in a row that resembles railroad tracks; hence its name.

Some of the shops and restaurants found in the mall include Cold Storage, Sixteen Ounces Craft Beer Bistro, K-Cuts, My Eye Room, Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, and Toast Box.

Aside from the shops, visitors can also check out the Rail Corridor beside the mall. Very few know about its existence, but this old steam train was once part of Singapore’s early days.

The area surrounding the corridor is filled with lush greenery; ideal for taking leisure strolls safely since the trains have ceased operations many years ago.
