You’ll get to learn about the several local clubs and associations such as the Singapore Swimming Club, Singapore Yacht Club, and the Singapore Recreation Club, among many others.
The displays are divided into permanent and temporary galleries, all of which provide visitors with an insightful look into the sporting history of Singapore. The permanent galleries include: Building A Dream, Chasing The Dream, Dream Venue, Living The Dream, and Collective Dream. Visitors will get to learn not just about Olympic sports, but non-Olympic sports, indigenous games and traditional pastimes.
Kids also have much to see and learn at the museum. Free sports-themed crafts and activities are available for children at the Children’s Activity Corner. Visitors can also choose from the three weekday tours, which last around 45 minutes and are led by a friendly guide.
The Singapore Sports Museum is located at 6 Stadium Walk within the Singapore Sports Hub. Opening hours are 10am to 8pm on weekdays; 10am to 9pm on weekends; including public holidays and the eve of public holidays.
The museum is wheelchair-friendly. Admission is free for locals, but fees apply to non-residents. Visitors should take note that filming and flash photography is not allowed inside the museum.
