To get to Sentosa Island via cable car, head to Harbourfront Station (if you get off the MRT at Harbourfront Station at VivoCity Mall, there are directional signs to lead you there). You can purchase your tickets at the kiosk at any of the stations, there is no need to book.
There are a number of ticketing options, but if you intend to use the Cable Car as your main choice of transport on, off and around the island, it is best to purchase an unlimited pass. There are also yearly passes available for only a few dollars more for those intending to visit Sentosa for more than one day. These are definitely the best value option.
Once on the cable car and departing Harbourfront Station, you will be taken over the water to Sentosa Station. This station is located in one of the main hubs of the island, within 3-5 minutes walking distance to Imbiah Lookout Station (the middle station of the east/west line) and right near the Tiger Sky Tower, the Luge, 4D Cinema, Madame Tussauds and the Sentosa Merlion.
For those wanting to travel over to Siloso Point (west) or Merlion Station (East), simply walk to Imbia Lookout Station and hop on a cable car travelling in the direction you desire.
The cable cars are large and can hold up to 8 people. The longest trip is from Harbourfront Station over the water to Sentosa Station which takes around 8 minutes. The shorter trips within the island take between 2-5 minutes.
The cable cars are wheelchair and pram accessible, with lifts at each station as well as escalators. There is no step up or down into the cable car, as they run flush with the platform.
The Sentosa Cable Car tickets cost around $43 for an unlimited day pass for an adult and $32 for a child. You can buy individual tickets for each trip or each line. A child is defined as between 3-12yrs and children under 3yrs are free. A Senior citizen is defined as 60yrs and above. The cable car is open every day from 8.45am to 10pm (last boarding at 9.30pm).
