1 Altitude

Get high in Singapore, literally. 1 Altitude is an alfresco bar that sits atop the 282-metre high OUB Building which stands in Raffles Place, also known as Singapore’s financial district.

The bar features an entirely open-air space, with glass walls about 5 feet high to secure its perimeter. With this comprehensive design, guests can have a full 360-degree view of Singapore’s city skyline.

Of course, the views from 1 Altitude are downright impressive. Guests will not run out of things to see, no matter which direction they look. From within the bar, you will be able to view the Harbourfront and Marina Bay as well as the many busy streets, without any obstruction to your view.

Visitors should note, however, that 1 Altitude charges $35 entry for each guest ($45 after 9pm). For this price, guests will receive two complimentary drinks. For those who want another drink or two will have to pay anywhere around $12 to $30, depending on what they order.

1 Altitude also serves delicious food. They offer decadent pizzas and platters meant for sharing. Guests who prefer to have proper meals can also take the elevator and head two floors down to get to Stellar Restaurant. The restaurant serves some of the best meals in the city, which includes their famous wood-fired streak and oyster bar.

The bar opens at 6 o’clock in the evening and only admits customers who are 21 or older. For safety reasons, local authorities require 1 Altitude to close when it’s raining or when the wind is picking up. So guests must check the current weather forecast before visiting.
