The MacRitchie Reservoir is the oldest reservoir in Singapore. After its completion in 1868, the MacRitchie Reservoir became one of the primary sources of freshwater in Singapore, thereby promoting the growth of trade, commerce and industrial development.

The MacRitchie Reservoir Park provides a host of different attractions and things to do. If you are in the mood for a leisurely walk through a pristine natural habitat, take a stroll on the boardwalks that run around the edge of the park. You will find 11kms of trails here and will likely encounter various animals along your walk such as long-tailed macaque monkeys, the monitor lizards, squirrels, flying lemurs, owls as well as various indigenous foliage including rubber trees.
But, the crown jewel of the MacRitchie Reservoir is the TreeTop Walk, a suspension bridge floating 250 meters above the park. If you want a panoramic view of the neighbouring Upper Peirce Reservoir and the surrounding rain forests, then the TreeTop Walk is for you.
After your walk, relax in the 12 hectares of parkland at the MacRitchie Nature Park. Engage in some fun watersports, or just have a quiet picnic on the grass. There is so much to see and do here.
