Henderson Waves

Henderson Waves Bridge is one of the most charming attractions in Singapore, and the highest pedestrian bridge in the country. This bridge connects the Telok Blangah Hill Park to the iconic Mount Faber Park; an architectural masterpiece in its own right.

The bridge was built in 2008 and is 74 meters long and 8 meters wide. Sitting high at over 34 metres above the ground, the bridge provides visitors with the opportunity to explore the lush Southern Ridges.

The most unique thing about this bridge, however, is its incredible wave-like design that consists of curved steel ribs. The steel ribs, seven in total, alternate above and below the walking deck creating an amazing piece of art as well as a viewing spot for those using the bridge. The bridge is one of the most incredible spots to catch scenic views of the city skyline, the harbour as well as the Southern Islands.

The integration of the Henderson Waves Bridge into the verdant parks allows visitors to walk through the forest canopies, an incredible experience that gives an up-close view of the country’s biodiversity. Make sure to also come by at night when the bridge comes alive when illuminated with stunning LED lighting from 7pm to 2am every day.

To get to the Henderson Waves Bridge, make your way to Henderson Road and then take the stairs to Mount Faber Park.
